To the Kids of the Anoka-Hennepin School District: We’ve Got Your Back

You are not alone. We know it might feel that way, but you’re not.
Surviving school—the cliques and cruelty, the taunting and intimidation—can be tough. And when it seems like nobody, from district administrators to elected officials, is willing to stick up for you, things are even worse. In the past couple of years, far too many of your friends and classmates have felt that living through the daily torment and pain they suffered wasn't an option.
But here’s what we want you to know: Even though other adults who are supposed to help you turn their backs on you, even if your school board members want to ignore the suffering of you or your classmates, we are with you. No matter what.
Why? Because what is happening in the Anoka-Hennepin School District is wrong. Plain and simple. And we’re going to keep the pressure on until our schools and our elected officials take a stand and put a stop to the endless bullying and harassment.
We've got your back. And we'll stick by you for as long as it takes until you can live your life proudly and safely.
